We have received some notices from the state regarding our water system and we are doing everything to rectify and remedy these issues.
St. Dominic Catholic Church, Public Water System ID # 1013543 Failure to submit a disinfectant level quarterly operating report ( DLQOR) Routine Monitoring Violation, Major/Chlorine
St. Dominic Catholic Church, PWS ID 1013543, has violated the monitoring and reporting requirements set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in Title 30, Texas Administrative Code (30 TAC), Section 290, Subchapter F. Public water systems are required to properly disinfect water before distribution, maintain acceptable disinfection residuals within the distribution system, monitor the disinfectant residual at various locations throughout the distribution system, and report the results of that monitoring to the TCEQ on a quarterly basis,
Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your drinking water is safe from microbial contamination.
These violations occurred in the monitoring periods of:
- Fourth Quarter of 2014: October to December, 2014
- First Quarter of 2015: January to March, 2015
- Second Quarter of 2015: April to June, 2015
To address this issue, St. Dominic is updating its procedures to make sure that it performs regular monitoring of disinfectant residual in the distributions system, and timely submits the DLQOR’s for the corresponding reporting quarters.

St. Dominic Catholic Church, Public Water System ID # 1013543 Mandatory Public Notification Language Routine Monitoring Violation, Total Coliform Rule
St. Dominic Catholic Church, PWS ID # 1013543, failed to collect the required number of bacteriological samples for coliform monitoring of the water distribution system from February 2015 of June 2015. This monitoring is required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s “Drinking Water Standards” and the federal “Safe Drinking Water Act,” Public Law 95-523.
Bacteriological samples are used to monitor water quality and indicate if the water is free of coliform bacteria. Our water system is required to submit one (1) bacteriological sample each month. Failure to collect all required bacteriological samples is a violation of the monitoring requirements and we are required to notify you of this violation.
